DigiLearn Pilot Program – transforming education for a digital future

In the innovative DigiLearn pilot program, we focus on developing digital curriculum design skills, which are essential for the success of digital programs. We did a pilot program with universities, HRs specialist – HRs from Bulgarian companies, Carolina Albasio university and a language center in Ireland.

Participants developed a curriculum for digital programs and tested it. The goal was for the participants to design a program which focuses on application of learning and using digital tools for enhanced engagement and skill development.

One of the key components of our approach is helping learners formulate and communicate inspiring visions for their digital programs. Through clear message formulation, understanding and addressing shared values, and expressive communication, learners gain the ability to convey their ideas compellingly. This foundation is crucial for building strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

We helped course providers emphasize practical skills tailored to the digital age. For one of the courses that one of our participants designed, learners engage in creating family trees through archival research and interviews, serving as a form of personal therapy. They also learn to map historical data using digital platforms, enhancing their research capabilities. These activities not only develop technical proficiency but also connect learners with their personal and historical contexts.

One of our participants developed a program that offers hands-on experience in creating and delivering engaging presentations. Learners develop skills in message development, design proficiency using tools like PowerPoint, and public speaking. By structuring presentations to engage and sell effectively, and by enhancing delivery with effective body language and vocal variety, learners are well-prepared to make impactful presentations.

The pilot program focuses on the need of lifelong learning and how it can be provided through digital courses and digital education which focus on learning application and skill building.

Many companies miss opportunities to develop and engage their teams, which could improve business outcomes. Teams that do not engage in continuous learning are like a football team that does not train.During the pilot program, HR professionals, Learning and Development experts, and university professors applied the 7 principles for effective digital curriculum design, including also setting transformational goals for the courses and ways to measure learners’ success.
